Screencast 1. Introduction to the NPO template

1. Audience Identification:

The screencast is for system administrators of NPO Salesforce who are new to using the system and need a better understanding of how to customize the NPO template to support their organization's fundraising plan and work flow processes. The audience may also include nonprofit techies (consultants or technology staff) who are new to Salesforce but may want to do some prototyping for a nonprofit client considering using Salesforce.

The audience is comprised of "Accidental Nonprofit Techies" from nonprofit organizations with a budget size of XYZ. The system administrator will be setting up the template to support the work of the end user, a fundraising staff person or the staff members in a small development office. In most cases, the system administrator will not be the end user.

2. Learning Objectives:

One of the most frequently asked questions is about how the Salesforce NPO template is how it can be customized to track an individual donor versus business/corporate/organizational donor. The screencast will take a look at several different business process steps and how the template can be customized to easily support the donor tracking tasks.

3. SalesForce Nonprofit Community Liaison:
The names and contact information 1 or more individuals who have subject matter expertise in using SalesForce to achieve the learning objectives. These individuals provide content, review the script, and their voices and desktops will appear as actors in the screencast.

4. Script/Storyboard:
The script will describe the concepts or tasks that will be shown.
The story board will outline the visuals for each segment.

Act 1: Meet the organization
Introduce the organization, mission, and overview the fundraising it does

Act 2: Example of tracking both individuals and organizations
Shows these outside of sales force - as little vignette characters. Something like this:

Scenario 1: Individual Donor - Ms. Individual Donor
Scenario 2: That person also works for corporation that is a corporate funder of .org, but not part of the corporations foundation
Scenario 3: The organization also gets corporate grant from that corporation's foundation

5. Production:
Facilitated user-generated content. Beth will narrate and shoot, but will incorporate the voices (audio) and "face" of community members.

6. Editing: Pull screencaptures into Camtasia for final editing.

7. Rendering: Render in flash. If possible make, version for YouTube/Blip.TV.

8. Marketing/Distribution:
